FM: About 13.5 million tons of grain grown this year in Hungary
In Hungary, a total of approximately 13.5 million tons of grain grown this year, compared with the 16.3 million tonnes of last year – the Minister of State of the Ministry of Agriculture (FM) told at a press conference on Tuesday in Budapest.
Czerván György after the Harvest Co-ordination Committee’s meeting talked about the progress of fall harvest, soil and sowing works. He said that the corn harvest is 99 percent complete.. About 6.4 million tons of corn grown in the country this year, compared to the 9.0 million tonnes of 2014. The decline was caused by the adverse weather. (MTI)
