The Government will indemnify all the farmers due to the bird flu
The Government will indemnify the farmers for their losses, incurred due to the avian influenza; a total of more than 3 billion HUF is available for this purpose of which 1.2 billion HUF has been paid out already – the Ministry of Agriculture (FM) told MTI on Friday.
The communication recalls that avian influenza appeared in Hungary in November last year. Since the emergence of the epidemic a total of slightly more than 3 million poultry had to be destroyed. The direct damage is 3 billion HUF. (MTI)
