FM: Hungarian farmers lost twice
The crisis on the pork and dairy market highlighted the fact that the Hungarian agriculture does not have enough storage and processing capacity, which is why the Hungarian farmers lost twice – the Parliamentary Minister of State of the Ministry of Agriculture (FM) told.
Nagy István in his presentation at the National Agricultural Economics Association’s (NAK) event explained that Hungarian agriculture cannot be successful without establishing cold storages and processing plants, without effective water management, animal husbandry, including especially the breeding development and the creation of producer organizations. These initiatives should be supported by the agricultural ministry. (MTI)
