FM: an actionable green policy is needed
An actionable green policy is needed, including development such as the KlimAdat project, which serves to map the effects of climate change in Hungary – the Minister of State of the Hungarian Ministry of Agriculture (FM) responsible for Environment, Agricultural Development said on Wednesday in Budapest at the opening event of the project.
V. Németh Zsolt emphasized that the National Meteorological Service (OMSZ), which operates as a background institution of the FM, has acquired a high performance Apollo supercomputer capable of performing climate modulation tasks during the development period. This laid the foundations for the OMSZ to be the leader among the meteorological services of the Central European region in the future, he said. The Minister of State has pointed out that in order to be able to develop strategies for climate change and long-term success, it is necessary to see, as precisely as possible, in a more timely and modeling way.
