FM: traceability has improved in the food chain
According to the experiences of the winter seasonal food chain checks, the food distributors improved their compliance, most of the problems remained with hygiene conditions, but the traceability gap was reduced – the Minister of State of the Ministry of Agriculture (FM) said on Tuesday at a press conference.
Zsigó Róbert, Minister of State, responsible for Food Chain Management also reported that the irregularities affecting the quality and composition of products, were found by the inspectors in 2.2 percent of the inspections, similar as in the previous year.
In the first two weeks of December, the food chain security specialists visited more than 2,200 establishments at the largest distribution sites. (MTI)
