Számlázz.hu, one of Hungary’s largest fintech companies, which helps nearly one million businesses, has turned twenty. According to CEO Balázs Ángyán, the field of financial administration is facing a revolutionary period: most of the work will be done by AI in the future, accountants will become consultants, the importance of banks will change, that of fintech companies will increase, and members of Generation X and the fully digital Alpha Generation will be present among entrepreneurs at the same time.

The success story of Számlázz.hu began in 2005, when the company was launched as a startup by three Hungarian IT professionals, and the first invoice was issued through the system. While in the year of its launch, only 27 entrepreneurs registered with Számlázz.hu and only a few invoices were made per month, last year more than 100 million receipts were issued in the fintech company’s system, and nearly one million businesses carry out their financial administration tasks on the platform. In twenty years, the garage company has become a modern company, employing more than sixty people in its 1,500 square meter headquarters. Today, 12 specialists work in customer service – despite the rise of AI and automation, real people answer users’ questions.

According to Balázs Ángyán, CEO of Számlázz.hu, the domestic and international fintech world is on the verge of complete change, revolutionary processes are taking place that will affect everyone.

“We can witness the continuous decline of traditional banks. A fintech revolution is taking place. Financial processes are being transferred back from banks to real players, payments are no longer made at financial institutions, but on other platforms, between buyers and sellers. This changes everything,”

– said Balázs Ángyán.

By 2030, we will face significant challenges in the field of financial administration.
