These days numerous IT systems help retailers to take care of the pennies, so that the pounds will take care of themselves. These systems can control stock and money movement in each phase.
Attila Udut, UCS Group’s regional representative told our magazine that the group distributes a user friendly, simply configurable Spanish product. HioPOS has all the functions necessary in sales and consists of a printer, a POS touchscreen, a customer display, integrated wi-fi and point of sale software and costs less then HUF 500,000. The device is perfect for end of the day closing and cash control; reports and statistics can also be made. HioPOS is waterproof and dust or grease can do no harm to it either. Richárd Járai, Laurel’s marketing leader informed us that the company put its integrated retail system on the market in 2003, which is now used in nearly 1,000 stores of 70 companies. The system’s modular structure and parameterability ensure that the solution can be used from individual small shops to chains with more than 100 units. Several types of cash register system and other external devices can be connected to the system. Laurel’s solution is capable of communicating with suppliers and it is connected to Laurel’s management system. The Laurel Support team’s remote supervision guarantees a smooth operating of the system. Éva Kozma, Szintézis Informatikai Zrt.’s deputy commercial director told Trade magazin that the company’s in-stores systems make controlling the work of cashiers easier. Szintézis developed their first barcode technology based retail system 20 years ago and now their software runs on more than 10,000 cash registers in 4 countries. Their solution pays special attention to cash accounting because they now how important it is for partners such as CBA, Marks&Spencer, Charles Vögele or Praktiker.
