Fidesz: new tobacco shop tender for the smaller municipalities
Just as it was envisaged, the national tobacco shops will open in the summer, while the National Non-Profit Commercial Tobacco Co. annunces a new tobacco shop tender for the smaller municipalities – the Fidesz parliamentary group reflected to the Wednesday press conference of the Socialists.
Tóth Csaba member of parliament (MSZP) said that it seems that cigarettes will be unavailable at nearly 1,500 municipalities. That will result in the increase of black market trade and in the decline of state tax revenues.
The Fidesz faction in its communication sent to MTI responsed: As in some places throughtout Europe, the tobacco shops will operate under state control in Hungary to protect children and young people. (MTI)
