Fidesz: Booking should pay the Hungarian accommodation providers
On Tuesday, the Fidesz faction called on the booking agency to pay the Hungarian accommodation providers.
In the past few days, countless domestic accommodation providers have indicated that the Booking accommodation brokerage company has not remitted the money collected since June. The international service provider withholds several billion forints, putting thousands of Hungarian small businesses in an increasingly difficult situation – wrote Kristóf Szatmáry, head of the business development cabinet of the Fidesz faction, in a statement sent to MTI.
The government politician called it outrageous how the multi-company “abuses its size and dominance”.
“We expect the authorities to investigate the matter, and the company to pay the Hungarian accommodation providers immediately!” – he emphasized.
