Young people in focus: the second national Big Student AwarenessNet Test is launched
This year, February 11th marks Safer Internet Day. The aim of the world day, which has been held annually since 2009, is to draw attention to the importance of a conscious and safe online presence, especially among the younger generations. In connection with the event, Yettel ProSuli and DUE Media Network are launching the national Nagy Diák TudatosNet test for the second time this year, which tests young people’s online knowledge in a playful way and playfully presents the right solutions to current online dangers.
The internet has now become an indispensable part of our everyday lives, but the development of the digital space – which is further amplified by the emergence of artificial intelligence (AI) – carries with it many new, previously unknown dangers. Moreover, children and young people are particularly vulnerable: online bullying, phishing, AI-manipulated content, and the spread of false information are becoming increasingly widespread, which is why it is essential to equip young generations with up-to-date knowledge to successfully defend against them.
Test your knowledge in the online space
On the occasion of Safer Internet Day, Yettel ProSuli and DUE Media Network are announcing the Big Student AwarenessNet Test again this year. The online quiz assesses the candidates’ abilities in topics such as secure passwords, cyberbullying, digital detox, and the role of AI in the spread of fake news.
The test is primarily aimed at the 14-20 year old age group, but anyone who would like to expand their knowledge about digital security can participate outside of the competition. The online interface of the competition is available from February 10th at https://nagydiaktesztek.hu/tudatosnetteszt2, but the test can also be downloaded as an application for smartphones and tablets. The first round takes place between February 10th and April 27th, and then the 1000 best-scoring competitors advance to the semi-finals, which will take place on May 5th. The final will be held with the participation of the 20 best-scoring competitors, who will be able to complete the final, all-decisive series of questions on May 8th.
