The world's oldest restaurant can be found in Ferrara
The world's oldest restaurant was founded in 1435 in Ferrara, Italy and it is still operating.
The al Brindisi restaurant, once known as Chiuchiolino (Drunken) nearly six hundred years ago was in the middle of a swamp and could be approached only with a boat – the online edition of La Repubblica writes.
The restaurant has been lead by the Pellegrini family from the 1950s. The Italian press has not forgotten to note that this restaurant is much older than the Casa Boti advertised as the world's oldest restaurant founded in 1725 in Madrid. (MTI)
