French cheese was recalled in Japan, due to metal fragments
About 60,000 boxes of “Kiri” cheese have been recalled in Japan, after metal fragments were found in the popular brand, its importer said.
The fragments, which were visible when customers opened the packets, likely made their way into the cheese during production, an Itoham spokesman said.
The recall covers packages shipped to Japanese stores between June 20 to 26, he said, adding that there were no reports of injuries or consumers falling ill. (MTI)
