Food industry catching up
Domestic industrial prices were up by 0.3 per cent in May, compared to April and by 11.7 per cent compared to May 2007. Export prices were down by 2.2 per cent, compared to the preceding month and by 0.1 per cent compared to 2007. Prices rose by 13.7 per cent in the food, beverages and tobacco industry during the past 12 months. Prices rose by 0.5 per cent per month in sectors producing non-durable consumer goods.
