Podravka buys Zvijezda food group

Podravka-owned Žito has signed an agreement to acquire the Croatian and Slovenian food company Zvijezda from the Fortenova Group. Zvijezda primarily produces sauces, spreads and cooking oils, and its portfolio includes the Margo and Omegol brands. The company employs 440 people and realised EUR 155m, sales in 2024, and it will continue to operate independently after the transaction.
