In the USA 6.6 percent of retail sales are realised online and according to researchers this ratio will go up to 20 percent in the next 10 years. eMarketer claims that 70 percent of the population made at least one online purchase last year. More and more consumers use their smartphones when shopping, so mobile commerce is also heavily researched. The survey revealed that 56 percent of shoppers used their smartphones to compare prices, 53 percent to take photos of goods, 46 percent to look for coupons and discounts, 35 percent to receive in-store promotions and 33 percent to scan QR codes
