The goverment shares more EU-grants than ever
A tremendous amoun of EU grant decisions have been made as since mid-April, and the payment of grants has visibly picked up since the outbreak of the coronavirus crisis in Hungary, according to a Portfolio study.
On the one hand, the given urgency to alleviate the crisis and, on the other hand, the fact that although the country does not receive more support in euros than was already judged for the 2014-2020 cycle, the weakening of the forint in Hungary is worth much more. Brussels has also loosened the rules for spending money. The government will certainly use these opportunities even more vigorously in the coming months, so, as we have already pointed out, in fact, EU money will be the main channel for economic recovery at home.
