The sugar factory in Kaposvár was renovated from half billion
Nearly one-third of the annual domestic needs of sugar is produced in Kaposvár. Five hundred million HUF was spent on the renewal of the sugar factory of Kaposvár.
Hájos László, production deputy CEO reported that, 780 thousand tons of carrots were brought by the producers compared to last year’s 438 tons. At least 105 thousand tons of sugar can be produced. The daily processing increased spectacularly in Kaposvár recently. This year nearly 8,000 tons of sugar beet produced per day, instead of the previous average of 7200 tonnes per day – reports Origo.
