NAV seized half a billion forints worth cigarettes
At ten locations, 373,000 boxes of untaxed cigarettes worth more than half a billion forints were recently seized from a Ukrainian-Hungarian criminal group by the National Tax and Customs Administration (NAV).
According to the agency’s statement sent to MTI on Wednesday, about the same amount of cash was seized, so the damage caused to the budget will be fully reimbursed.
The case is being investigated for the crime of organics committed to a particularly significant value. Two men and a woman were questioned as suspects, one of whom was ordered to be arrested by the court. (MTI)
