Half billion HUF fine because of misleading the consumers
For misleading the consumers 500 hundred million HUF fine has been imposed by the Economic Competition Authority this year. Compared to last year's 700 million HUF fine for the full year, it cells more powerful Competition Authority actions.
Methods aspiring to prepossess customers are evergreen: the advertising which covers the main datas of the product or enhancement of the non-verifiable cosmetics and curative effects of the products. In particular, the Economic Competition Authority is very strict in the cases of manipulation of curative effects. The Economic Competition Authority is examining several stores' " bait advertises", also examines the practice of actions. The Authority previously pointed out: the action of "until the end of set up" to be exempted from the non-infringement of the treaty, even if the consumer has been informed of the lack of products – reports Világgazdaság Online.
