Csodásmagyarország.hu has conducted a survey of the most beautiful viewpoints in Hungary
One of the most popular hiking destinations in the Visegrád Mountains, the 639-meter-high Prédikálószék is the favorite viewpoint of Hungarians – according to an online survey by Csodásmagyarország.hu, which compiled a list of the most beautiful viewpoints in Hungary.
In a statement sent to MTI on Friday, they highlighted that 40 percent of the 2,198 people surveyed chose the viewpoint on Dömös, which offers a magnificent view of the Danube Bend, as the top spot.
Hungary’s highest point, the 1,014-meter Kékestető, came in second place, collecting 14 percent of the votes, followed by the Gömbkilátó in Balatonboglár with 10 percent.
The top ten also included the Zsófia-kilátó in Lillafüred, Dobogókő, the Pécs TV Tower, and the Salgó Castle viewpoint near Salgótarján. They are followed by the Galya Lookout in the Mátra Mountains – which will be named after Lajos Thuróczy, one of the founders of the National Blue Tour, as of August 30 -, the Zengő Lookout at the highest point of the Mecsek Mountains, and the Erzsébet Lookout on János Hill – they wrote.
When examining the breakdown of respondents by age group, there were differences, but the Prédikálószék is in first place on the list in all age groups.
Among those aged 18-29, the Gömbkilátó in Balatonboglár came in second place, while Kékestető came in third.
