Survey: Wizz Air flights departed from British airports with the longest delays last year
According to a survey prepared on the basis of data from the British Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) and presented on Monday, the Wizz Air airline’s flights took off from Great Britain last year with the longest delays.
The statistical analysis, compiled for British media by the PA information agency, looked at the departure data of all airlines that operated more than 2,500 scheduled and charter flights from UK airports in 2022.
Canceled flights are not included in the survey. Based on PA data presented by the British public service media company BBC, the calculated average delay for all departures was 23 minutes. The average delay of Wizz Air flights departing from Great Britain was twice this, 46 minutes and 6 seconds last year.
