Tourism in Mátra may get better
Significant tourism developments will be completed in seven settlements in Mátra for a total of about HUF 600 million this fall – Graven Idol Kft., responsible for the communication of the projects, told MTI on Monday.
According to their information, the consortium formed by Equitum Castra Nonprofit Kft. and the municipalities of Bükkszék, Sirok, Kisfüzes and Szajla can spend more than 300 million forints on the creation of environmentally conscious exhibition spaces as a result of the non-refundable grant awarded under the Regional and Urban Development Operative Program (TOP).
It is expected that by the end of September, in addition to the creation of new hiking trails, a play area and a playground will be built from this source, and rest areas and panoramic terraces will complete the experience of the nature walk.
The “panoramic tours at the healing treasures of Mátra” project will also be completed by the end of October with non-refundable EU support, for which the Heves County Regional Development Nonprofit Kft. and the consortium of the municipalities of Parád, Mátraderecske and Recsk previously won HUF 298 million for the TOP tender.
