Expanding trade between India and the EU
The volume of trade between India and the EU will reach EUR 70 billion in the next two years, while only EUR 48.5 billion is expected for 2006. If the present trend continues, the volume of trade will amount to EUR 150 billion by 2012. The signing of a planned bilateral agreement about the liberalisation of trade and investment would certainly boost economic relations.
