Tourism is booming in Tokaj
Development on a historic scale will begin this year in Tokaj, which is 950 years old, and several thousand square meters of real estate will be renewed – the city’s municipality informed MTI on Monday.
According to the information, thanks to the reconstruction, the “unsightly” department store building on the main square of the town will disappear, and the sidewalks and pavements of the main street, laid down twenty-five years ago, will be renewed for eight hundred meters and will receive a new andesite covering. In addition, the main facade of the City Hall and the palace facade of the Járasi Hivatal on the main street will also be beautified.
