The growth of retail sales accelerated in the Czech Republic

The growth of retail sales accelerated in the Czech RepublicI n September on an annual level growth was 6.2 percent, compared to teh 2.7 percent of August.

The rate of retail turnover has returned essentially to the level of June – the Czech Statistical Office (CSU) announced on Wednesday.

The working day adjusted increase was 4.5 percent in September. Throughout the third quarter, the pace of annual growth amounted to 5.1 percent. The car sales contributed the most to the increase. This segment grew by 15.3 percent in September. (Kokes János, MTI)
