Lidl And Kaufland To Waive Contracts For Meat And Poultry Suppliers
Lidl and Kaufland have agreed to waive contracts for third parties involved in slaughtering, cutting and packaging of fresh meat and poultry in its own production by January 2021.
The move aims to help in establishing better working conditions in the supply chain.
Both companies were considering the possibility to remove fresh meat and poultry from the list of suppliers with work contracts for some time, Lidl said in its statement.
