German inflation is on six-month high
Inflation in Germany reached a six-month high in February, according to final data released Friday by the German Federal Bureau of Statistics, Destatis.
In February, consumer prices in Germany rose 1.7 percent, compared to a year before, according to teh final data of Destatis, which confirms preliminary estimates. Inflation in Germany remained at its six-month high of 1.7 percent in January.
Food prices rose the most in February, by 3.3 percent. Within this, the prices of fruits increased by 9.0 percent and the prices of meat products 8.0 percent. Prices of edible fats and oils fell 6.5 percent. (MTI)
