Development projects for the comfort of customers

The last major IT project from Auchan was developing the CRM system that runs the Loyalty Card programme. This work was completed by the end of 2014. IT director Lajos Fülöp and his team are now busy preparing the online shop Auchan plans to open. They are also putting great effort into developing retail support systems. Mr Fülöp reckons that the spreading of mobile payment solutions is an important trend, but the constant progress of CRM systems and e-commerce are also key areas of progress. Development in these fields can make shopping more comfortable and serving customers faster. The director told us that they do certain IT projects themselves but they outsource others. It all depends on which is better: to operate a new system in-house or in cooperation with an external partner.
