Retail sales momentum is back in February
After the halt in January, the momentum in consumption returned in February. The volume of retail sales increased by 6.5 percent, while according to the calendar-adjusted data, a 6.4 percent growth occured, compared to the previous year – the Central Statistical Office (KSH) announced on Tuesday.
In January, the sales volume increased by only 1.7 percent, while calendar effect adjusted by 2.2 percent.
Consumption is growing for 32 months without interruption year on year.
In the food and mixed retail stores the calendar-adjusted sales increased by 4.9 percent, after the 1.4 percent decline of January. (MTI)
