Fazekas Sándor: the first results of the pig strategy are visible

The first results of the swine strategy are starting to deliver. The number of pigs exceed 3 million in Hungary again – Fazekas Sándor, Minister of Agriculture told at a press conference on Thursday in Budapest.

The minister cited the latest datas of the Central Statistics Office, pointing out that in a year the Hungarian pig population increased by 200 thousand, (an about 7 percent increase). Such a high increase has not seen for decades. He pointed out that the strategy includes a number of measures improve the effectiveness of the sector. (MTI)
