Fazekas Sándor: Hungary is a bee superpower
Hungary is a bee superpower, but the stability of the sector can be maintained only with a lot of work and collaboration – Fazekas Sándor Minister of Rural Development said on Saturday in Jászapáti at the professional conference held on the occasion of the International Day for Bees.
He reminded: about 1.1 million bee colonies, provide additional or main source of income for around 20 thousand Hungarian households nowadays. Honey production in Hungary is around 20 thousand tons. More than half of this volume is sold abroad. He also mentioned that Hungary has the world's largest bee density. (MTI)
