Fazekas Sándor: pig population will be doubled in seven years

On the basis of the pig strategy adopted by the government, the current pig population of 3 million will be doubled until 2020. 2.6 billion HUF will be spent to improve the situation of the sector – Fazekas Sándor, Minister of Rural Development said on Wednesday in Keszthely.

Fazekas Sándor added that the 2.6 billion HUF – in addition to the doubling of the number of pigs – will help to create 20 thousand new jobs, as well as searching for export markets and the production of healthy domestic food products. (MTI)
