Fazekas Sándor: awareness actions to promote Furmint

This year is the Year of the Furmint. The governmnet would like to draw attention to this unique Hungarian value – Fazekas Sándor Minister of Agriculture told M1 news channel on Wednesday.

He stressed that the Furmint is one of the oldest and most famous Hungarian grape variety. It is the raw material of excellent wines and it is becoming more and more popular in addition to the Tokaj-hegyalja wine region in other wine regions such as the Badacsony, Somló hill and the Balaton Uplands regions.
