Fazekas: Turkish export is a good opportunity for Hungarian farmers
In particular, Turkey is a good market for cattle exports, but on the basis of recent meetings it is possible to build Hungarian slaughterhouses in Turkey in the form of a joint venture – Fazekas Sándor, Minister of Agriculture told M1 news channel.
He added that during his latest discussions with the Turkish Minister of Agriculture, his partner suggested that they are willing to receive higher-grade products as well.
The head of the ministry emphasized that although 85 percent of the 8 billion euros Hungarian exports are directed to the EU, the European Union is a saturated market, therefore the eastern and southern opening are important for the agricultural sector. (MTI)
