Fazekas: the basic criteria of producing quality food is good quality soil

The good quality soil is the basic criteria for the production of high quality food, it is inconceivable without conscious protection of the soil – Fazekas Sándor Minister of Agriculture said on Monday in Budapest at a professional forum.

Fazekas Sándor Minister of Agriculture at the Healthy Soils for Healthy Life Conference emphasized that it is also important to cultivate the soils in a sustainable way. Hungary therefore also appreciates that the UN’s 68th General Assembly declared year 2015 as the International Year of Soils, drawing the world's attention to the importance of this issue – he added.
