Biomass can be a significant energy source again
Biomass can be a major energy source for the Hungarian countryside again as it was for centuries – the Minister for Rural Development insisted on Friday in Budapest, at a professional meeting.
Fazekas Sándor Minister for Rural Development spoke at the opening ceremony of the Rural Development with Renewable Energy conference, among others, that the rural people acquire energy for agricultural by-products, such as corncobs, straw, biomass, for centuries.
Glattfelder Béla (Fidesz) MEP told MTI, that renewable sources of energy in Hungary is about 8 percent of the total energy. This ratio will be increased until 2020 to 14.65 percent. (MTI)
