Farmer Expo: Hungarian – Baltic Gene Conservation cooperation
The Dunavölgyi Állatfajták Génmegőrző Nemzetközi Egyesülete (DAGENE) extends its livestock gene preserving work to the Baltic states – Hajas Pál, president of DAGENE announced on Tuesday after having signed a cooperation agreement with the Baltic region gene preservation organization.
The signing of the cooperation agreement took place in Debrecen at the Farmer Expo, where Professor Hajas Pál recalled that their association was formed 25 years ago, to promote the preservation and maintenance of the native species Danube riparian countries.
The DAGENE in addition to the scientific research also examines the impact of climate change on native species among the current living conditions and how they find their place among the changed circumstances. (MTI)
