FAO: we can expect big fluctuations in food prices
According to the forecast of the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO); even larger fluctuations are expected in food prices in the forthcoming years.
The typically high prices remain and even further growth is expected. This is due to the rapidly expanding demand in the developing countries, and due to the growing population, while the growth of biofuel crops also cause a larger demand in the food chain – reports MTI.
