World food prices peaked at a nearly 10-year high in January, mainly due to higher prices of vegetable oils and dairy products.
According to data released by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) on Thursday, the January price index was 135.7 points, 1.1 percent (1.5 points) higher than in December. (MTI)
