FAO: world food prices rose in January
In January, world food prices increased, mainly due to higher prices of dairy products, oilseeds and sugar.
The five basic food price indexes of the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), supplemented with meat and grain products, increased to 164.8 points from the 161.8 points of December. The index was the lowest since May 2016, stood at 160.8 points in November. (MTI)
