FAO: the price of milk accelerates
The UN Food Organisation, the FAO states, that food prices have once again increased to record highs in January. The largest increase was measured in dairy products.
The FAO food price index increased by 3.4 percent to 231 points in January. After the December data, it is a newer record, since the index was introduced in 1990. Abdolreza Abbassian, grain marketing expert of FAO, believes that the new food price record shows that the pressure is not relieved, the high prices will persist in the forthcoming months – Világgazdaság Online, after AFP.
