FAO: global food prices increased in June, due to the sugar
Due to the increase in global sugar prices, global food prices were rising in June – states the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO).
The FAO price index – which is calculated every month, on the basis of cereals, oilseeds, milk and meat product prices increased by 1 percent to 234 points in June. The June index, however, is below the February record levels of 237.2 points – reports Profitline.hu.
