Ice cream festival in Szombathely
The Ice Cream of the Year national confectionery competition and festival was held for the first time in the main square of Szombathely on Thursday.
This year, the jury awarded the Ice Cream of the Year title to the ice cream called the King of Piedmont, prepared by Wilhelm Dávid from Nagykanizsa. The ice cream is based on Piemont hazelnut, with blackcurrant topping. The sugar-free ice cream of the year became a scented quince with black currant, dreamed up by Pokoraczki Ágnes, a confectioner from Újfehértó. (MTI)
