Two days of partying await at the Műegyetem rakpart: Road Movie Live returns, the popular pop music program of the St. Stephen’s Day festivities. On August 19–20, audiences can enjoy six concerts, including performances by Ajsa Luna, Irie Maffia, Hooligans, and Road.

In 2025, the Road Movie Live concert series will be an integral part of St. Stephen’s Day for the fifth time. The event is based on the Road Movie initiative, in which Hungary’s most popular bands and performers have shared their connections to Hungary and to Hungarian regions, streets, squares, and cities beyond the borders. Many have set their personal stories to music, and the songs born from these projects are still part of their concert repertoires today.

This year, Road Movie Live will once again feature a strong lineup at this free-to-attend event: on August 19, the program will be opened by the Don’t Stop the Queen tribute band, who bring the Queen legacy to the stage with a mix of well-known hits and popular but less radio-played songs. They will be followed by Hooligans, who have delivered numerous hits over the past 30 years, and the evening will close with the eleven-member Irie Maffia, celebrating 20 years of activity. Known for their musical diversity, they perform in Hungarian, English, and often a blend of the two languages, covering a wide range of genres.

On August 20, before the traditional fireworks, young singer-songwriter Ajsa Luna will set the mood, followed by Újpest-born rapper Curtis, also well known from television shows. The main act of the evening will be the long-standing, multi-gold and platinum record rock band, Road.

Planned schedule:

17:00–18:15 Don’t Stop the Queen

18:45–20:00 Hooligans

20:30–22:00 Irie Maffia
