This is what you should pay attention to when it comes to packaging
It may come as a surprise to many, but the fact is that most of the meat products on the shelves also contain small amounts of added sugar. Bacon is no exception, and some sugar is used in varying amounts of curing by brand. The good news for conscious eaters, however, is that there are also “sugar-free” bacon products on the Hungarian market. The safest way to determine this is from a product whose ingredients include not only sugar alone, but also dexttres and maltodextrin, i.e. added sugars.
