Hungary’s 24.5 percent inflation, which is a record within the European Union, is mainly seen in the area of food and utilities: according to the Central Statistical Office, food (44.8 percent) and utilities (55.5 percent) rose in price in Hungary, as in previous months , so the annual inflation became 14.5 percent, which has not been seen since 1996.
