EY survey: domestic businesses focus on stability while preparing for growth
Hungarian businesses are currently focusing on operational stability, and are also planning investments and hiring, according to an EY survey. More than 230 Hungarian entrepreneurs participated in the consulting firm’s research analyzing the Central, Eastern and Southern Europe and Central Asia (CESA) region. According to the barometer, the biggest challenges include the complexity of the regulatory environment, labor shortages, and intense market competition.
EY surveyed more than 1,000 owners in 16 countries, including Hungary, Romania, Slovakia, Croatia, Poland, Slovenia, and Serbia, to assess the entrepreneurial mood. The analysis covered professional areas such as investment sentiment, assessment of the financing environment, challenges related to hiring, growth prospects, attitude to innovation, and even the adaptation of artificial intelligence solutions.
“At EY, we have been actively supporting entrepreneurs for more than 20 years, including through the EY Entrepreneur of the Year Program. Our goal with this survey is to show where domestic businesses stand in a regional comparison and to highlight the areas where they can make the most progress with targeted development programs or even external consulting assistance. This can mean both tangible support for owners and a competitive advantage for the Hungarian economy,”
emphasized Tamás Vékási, CEO of EY.
