Extra days off for parents and those expecting a child at Tesco
Tesco is introducing family-friendly measures in the retail sector and supports a gradual return to work, including Conception Allowance and 10 paid working days paternity leave. The package, which will come into force this summer to help colleagues in different life situations, was announced by the department store chain as part of its Diversity Week programme. Parents, foster parents, family planners and colleagues returning after a long illness will thus receive support that goes beyond the legal requirements. Tesco also wants to provide its staff with all the help they need to promote fair and flexible treatment.
