An annual 100 billion HUF loss in agriculture due to weather

The bad weather causes an approximately 100 billion HUF loss in turnover to the Hungarian agriculture per year – Poprády Géza, Minister of State told at the Ministry of Rural Development on Tuesday.

The Minister of State of the Ministry of Rural Development added that the agricultural activity poses a number of risks and extreme weather is the most important factor, that cannot be controlled. The government is determined to find a solution to manage the risks in agricultural production. The new unified liability solution fits into this concept.  The new unified liability solution entered into force from 1 January last year.  (MTI)
