BMI on a record annual level
The seasonally adjusted value of the Purchasing Manager Index (BMI) was 56.8 points in March, the highest of the last thirteen months.
In addition, it is well above 50 points, that indicates changelessness – told the Hungarian Association of Logistics, Purchasing and Inventory Management (MLBKT) on Monday.
According to them, manufacturing industry steadily expanded between July 2010 and July 2011.
The March monthly index is 5.6 percentage points higher than the index of February when it was 51.2 points.
Overall, March was a slightly lower month than the average of the previous years, and the long-term January average (51.6) is significantly lower than the valeus measured since 1996 (MTI Eco, Világgazdaság Online)
